cPanel is a control panel which enables you to administrate various aspects of the hosting of your domain.
Some of the things you can do, depending on the package you have purchased, are:
- Add and administrate email accounts, email forwarding and mailing lists
- Add and administrate subdomains, addon domains, parked domains
- Easily install various scripts, including blogs, calendars, guestbooks and forums, via Softaculous
- Add and adminster MySQL databases
- Set up additional FTP accounts
- Password protect directories
To access your cPanel, go to www.yourdomain.co.uk/cpanel and login with the account username and password you were provided with in your welcome email. If you can't find your welcome email or did not receive one, you can also log into your cPanel via the Client Area, as follows:
- Log on to the client area at www.therapysites.co.uk/whmcs
- Click on the Services button (top left) or on the menu, select Services / My Services
- Click to the right of the service for which you want to access the cPanel (don't click directly on the link, as it will take you to your website)
- On the lefthand sidebar, click on "Log into cPanel".
- Once you have logged into the cPanel, you can change your password to something memorable.
If you've forgotten your Client Area password, you can enter your email address at www.therapysites.co.uk/whmcs, then click on the "Forgot Password?" link. The system will then email you a password reset link.
Below is a YouTube introduction to cPanel. Not all of the functionality mentioned will be available in your cPanel, primarily because we don't believe in overwhelming you with functions you don't understand and don't need. If you come across something you want, but don't currently have access to, please ask and we will provide it if we can, often at no extra charge.
